The famous RNVG, famous for being as close to idiot proof as you can get, with some of the most durable tubes currently made. NNVT tubes are rated to a higher impact resistance than most gen 3 tubes, and are much harder to blemish than most other tubes currently being offered. This is pretty much the most bomb proof setup out there, with the classic single knob off/on/IR you’re used to on the PVS7 and PVS14. Feel free to find TNVC’s video where they slap one an RNVG around the room with a shovel, durability is unmatched.
As with all gen2+ tubes, their performance will suffer more in the lowest light conditions, but with 90% of the performance at half the price, I firmly believe they’re excellent value for the money. Paired with excellent Mil-Spec optics (NVD marked, made by Fujinon, same as Carson’s lenses, famously good) you get the full performance, unlike with many of the cheaper lenses on the market, crushing the jerry 31. All brand new, white phosphor, autogated (for better high light/mixed light performance) very clean tubes, about 1400 FOM, spec sheets included.
